Your privacy is our business! We do not sell or divulge your personal information to other commercial entities, except as required to process your payment. Of course we cooperate if required by law enforcement authorities. We ourselves will send you the minimum email needed to apprise you of any changes in our service. These are very infrequent, months apart.
You may request a refund for any reason within 30 days, provided you have only received a nominal amount of contact messages (a few dozen). After that, there are no refunds. Our price is simply too low to bother splitting hairs if you wish to terminate early.
Acceptable Use Policy / Terms of Service (AUP/TOS):
By signing up, you agree not to use the service in connection with any unsolicited commercial email (UCE). You agree not to add the addresses of anyone who contacts you using the service to a mailing list or divulge their personal information unless they specifically request it. (if they are already on your mailing list no problem, or if they say "please add me" no problem, or if your header tag clearly states the purpose of the contact is add them to a list no problem, but to automatically add addresses or divulge anyone's name or other identifying information is a violation of the mc1soft.com AUP)
You agree not to re-sell the service, or allow others to use your account either for free or for compensation.
You agree not to attempt to establish more than one trial account within a year's time, and not to circumvent any automatic procedures designed to discourage this.
You agree to not use the service for any illegal or immoral purpose (immoral generally would be something like advocating violence, hatred or licentious behavior, or something that might adversely affect mc1soft.com by association, although it might technically be legal - we are a commercial enterprise, not the ACLU!), or to harass anyone, or to conceal your identity from persons with whom you communicate. ( it is obviously the purpose of our service to help conceal your identity from spammers & hackers - but once you respond to someone, or if you initiate the contact, you may not use our service to communicate without revealing who you are)
You agree that your expected traffic is not more than 100 contacts in any given day, or 1000 in any given month. If you want to exceed this number on an occasional basis, write FIRST for authorization. If you have consistently high usage and you need assistance setting up a contact script on your server, contact us for consulting rates.
You agree that we have the final and sole authority to terminate your account without refund if in our judgement the AUP is violated. If you aren't sure about something you want to do, ask us first.
Reliability, Liability & Effectiveness Disclaimer:
We lease standard shared commercial web hosting facilities to provide the Contact-Link service to you. Such services are not perfect, and may occasionally be unavailable, or may lose messages or other data. We do not provide any data backup. If our provider loses his hard drive, it may take us some time to re-construct our customer database. You may have to re-enter any contact form setup information you have specified. In addition to our service provider, these services require use of the internet, which is subject to outages and attacks by hackers or foreign countries. All our contracts for service do not provide for any liability or refund to us in the case of service outages. Therefore we are unable to provide any liability or refund to you. By signing up you agree our entire liability will be limited to providing a refund within the first 30 days of service, if so requested.
Any liability for consequences to your business or operations is specifically excluded. Liability for loss or disclosure of your personal information due to theft or hacking or imperfections in our software or procedures is also excluded. You are advised that computer systems are logically and physically vulnerable, and we cannot control hacking attacks or inside abuse by employees of our service providers. Effective protection of your personal information requires many steps to be carried out by you, some of which are [as we are aware of them] documented on this web site, but all of them might not be. In any event, we do not monitor or certify that the procedures you actually implement are effective for your purposes. That responsibility and judgement is yours alone, and your sole remedy is limited to the aforementioned 30 day refund opportunity.
